Ryan Odgers, MD

Ryan Odgers, MD

My parents come from Oklahoma, but after a time being stationed at the former Williams Air Force Base in Mesa, they fell in love with the desert, so I can proudly call myself a native Arizonan. I was born and raised on the west side of Phoenix and made a fortunate decision to go to Arizona State, where I found “chemistry” with my lab partner who later became my wife. Though we moved around some in the intervening years, we both always knew Phoenix was where we wanted to end up. Our son now represents the next generation of native Arizonan for our family, and we enjoy spending our time chasing him around, hiking, mountain biking, and enjoying everything central Phoenix has to offer.

I was fortunate to do my residency training here in Phoenix, working with the top Orthopedic Surgeons throughout the valley at the Mayo Clinic, St. Joseph’s, Good Samaritan, Honor Health, Scottsdale Healthcare, and Phoenix Children’s Hospitals. I supplemented my training with a one-year fellowship with renowned Hand Surgeon and current President of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Ghazi Rayan, in Oklahoma City. I now have the honor of working alongside many of the surgeons I trained under. I am open, honest, and straight-forward with my patients so they can be involved in their medical care and medical decision making as much as they are comfortable. I want patients to understand what I am thinking and to understand what their options are, what the plan is, and what it all means moving forward. Most importantly, I want patients to be comfortable with me and my staff, to feel listened to, understood, and cared about, as we work together to manage their medical concerns.
