“She’s a new woman!” – A Patient Story
From the patient:
Hi Scott/Dr. Kassman,It is now 26 days since my hip surgery. I am walking without cane or other support for past three days, walking further each day, yesterday was just over half a mile. My appetite has become almost normal, and I am able to do most things. Except for the lower cupboards and bending over to pick up stuff. I Am getting into and out of the truck with no platform, stool or any help with ease. Walked 3/4 Km. this a.m. It feels so good ( and amazing) to walk without pain! Thanks to you and Dr. Kassman for the great progress I have achieved because of your skills!Doris G.
Nothing but positive news and Mom is very upbeat every time we talk. She’s walking more and more steadily without the cane, or assistance of any kind. No problem getting in/out of bed by herself.
With the step Dad built, she’s managing to enter/exit their truck well. Both of them doing the physio routine together. Dad has been very supportive. We’re all amazed how fast she has progressed since returning home!
All in all, hard to believe it’s only been 3 weeks since the operation. Wonderful to see how much this is improving her way of life.
They’re just happy to be back together again and both surprised and pleased with the advancements she’s made since being home. Thanks again for all you’ve done and the great follow-up. You, your office staff, Scott, and Ellie have a wonderful thing going!
And another one from her daughter, a week later:
Don’t know how much Mom has updated you but……. after 4 weeks she’s getting in/out of truck by herself, going for 1/2 mile walks completely unassisted. She’s a new woman!
