Injured Workers and Worker’s Compensation – Video

Injured on the job?

Curious about worker’s compensation?

Health2Fit interviewed Dr. Steven R. Kassman about worker’s compensation and some ways to make it easier to understand. This five-minute video offers a look at treatment options available to workers that are injured on the job. Watch the video to understand the treatment and rehabilitation process and the options available to you.

Dr. Kassman emphasizes that the most important goal in any plan is making sure that every injured worker receives the best possible treatment. After the initial consultation and a thorough and proper diagnosis, a treatment plan is carefully created. A letter is then sent to the insurance carrier describing the treatment plan and requesting authorization to proceed. The insurance adjuster is responsible for reviewing the treatment plan to ensure that the recommended treatment is appropriate. The staff will do everything possible to ensure the best communication is provided in order to alleviate stress and to insure patients can focus all of their attention on their successful recovery. It Ultimately, the best news, is letting patients know when the treatment plan has been approved and we can begin them on their road to recovery.

Another important thing to remember is even though Dr. Kassman is an orthopedic surgeon, not every injury will require surgery. The treatment plan could actually be for physical therapy, but would still follow the same process mentioned above.
