About Dr. Cahalan
Dr. Spencer Cahalan is a fellowship-trained, board-certified doctor specializing in full-scope nonsurgical orthopedic care for the weekend warrior to athletes of all ages and skill levels. He also provides nonsurgical options for the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He delivers exceptional care to patients, giving them the same level of care and respect as the people closest to him. When he’s not working, you will find him enjoying time with his wife and small children, reading Star Wars novels, playing fantasy football, or building LEGOs with his oldest son.
Dr. Cahalan completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University before attending Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree as well as his Master of Arts degree in bioethics. He then underwent a family medicine residency at Medical City Arlington. Further refining his skills, Dr. Cahalan completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at the Texas Institute for Graduate Medical Education and Research.
Throughout his training, Dr. Cahalan worked with several prestigious teams and schools, including the San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio FC, Trinity University, St. Mary’s University, Alamo Heights High School, and the San Antonio Brahmas.
