Megan Conti Mica, M.D.

Dr. Megan Conti Mica is a double-board certified (orthopedic surgery and hand surgery) orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, and upper extremity surgery with a special interest in athletic injuries, return to sport, elbow injuries, fractures, nerve compression, tendon and ligament injuries, and arthritis of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.

Dr. Conti Mica earned her medical degree from The University of Arizona and furthered her training through completing her residency at Loyola University in Chicago, and two fellowships: one in hand and upper extremity surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and the other in shoulder and elbow in Europe.

Dr. Conti Mica treats a myriad of conditions, including athletes, elbow injuries, any fractures, nerve compression, tendon, and ligament injuries as well as arthritis of the upper extremity. She has extensive training in several procedures, including microscopic, arthroscopic, arthroplasty, and minimally invasive surgery of the upper extremity.

As an Arizona native, Dr. Conti Mica is well-known in the orthopedic world, serving as an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at The University of Chicago. She has also published several research articles, including work on lateral collateral ligament injuries of the elbow and the effect of image-guided corticosteroid injections on thumb carpometacarpal arthritis.
