About Dr. Uppal

Dr. Pushpinder Uppal is a double-board-certified, fellowship-trained interventional pain doctor at Pinnacle Pain at OrthoArizona.

Dr. Uppal comes to Arizona to join Pinnacle Pain at OrthoArizona after completing fellowship and residency training in interventional pain and anesthesiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Uppal graduated from medical school at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, and completed his Bachelor of Science degree with distinction at Cornell University. Dr. Uppal has published numerous journal articles during his career in medicine, including papers on the management of post-cervical laminectomy fusion pain syndrome and the difficult removal of exposed peripheral nerve stimulator leads.

Dr. Uppal is committed to providing personalized and comprehensive pain management care that respects the unique needs of each patient. He is well-trained in both medical management and interventional pain procedures, including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulators, and orthobiologics.

He has a great interest in treating patients with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and diabetic neuropathy, but he also commonly treats conditions such as spinal stenosis, herniated discs, facet arthropathy, sciatica, and degenerative disc disease.

Outside of the office, Dr. Uppal enjoys traveling to new places with family and friends and playing basketball and golf.
