About Dr. Lee

Dr. Tony Lee believes in finding the best nonoperative and personalized treatment for every patient at Synergy Rehabilitation & Wellness Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. As a physiatrist, Dr. Lee holds board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as the subspecialty of pain medicine. He has extensive training and experience in the benefits of physical therapy, and as a holistic practitioner, he helps patients maintain wellness with nutritional and lifestyle support.

Dr. Lee earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in microbiology from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Then, he returned home to Georgia, where he received a Master of Science degree in microbiology from Georgia State University in Atlanta.

After finishing his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, Dr. Lee completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During his training, he proudly served as chief resident for two years. Dr. Lee went on to complete a sports medicine and interventional spine fellowship at Southwest Spine & Sports in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Since 2010, Dr. Lee has been named a Top Doc ten times by PHOENIX magazine, most recently in 2024. He has served as a board member for the Maricopa County Medical Society and as the president of the Arizona Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. At the national level, he has served on and chaired the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Presidents Council Executive Committee.

Dr. Lee has served in many community organizations, including as a board member for Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders, a group that focuses on developing leaders from the Asian American community. More recently, he served on the Board of Trustees for the Arizona Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

With his college tennis playing days behind him, Dr. Lee now spends his free time traveling with his wife and daughter, golfing, hiking, and enjoying wine and unique food experiences.
