Chelsea Carey, P.T., D.P.T.

Chelsea is an Arizona native and was raised in Glendale, Arizona. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in physiology from The University of Arizona with a minor in Spanish and then obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona, in 2017. She has experience and training in the treatment of various orthopedic conditions, postsurgical care, sport-specific physical therapy and conditioning, and myofascial and visceral functional mobilization with an emphasis on a manual treatment approach. In addition to working with orthopedic and sports populations, she received her certification for vestibular and concussion rehabilitation and works with various balance-related disorders through The American Institute of Balance.

Chelsea is also passionate in her involvement in the figure skating, dance, performance arts, and hockey communities. She is an established member of the U.S. Figure Skating National Network of Sports Medicine scientists and providers, and she has served with local clubs as well as international figure skating competitions, including but not limited to Rostelecom Cup in Moscow, Russia, and the Grand Prix Final Torino, Italy, as a team physical therapist for Team USA athletes. She has also worked with the Arizona Coyotes in-game operations as a promotional team member and ambassador for the Arizona Coyotes organization, so if you see her at a game say hi and let’s go, Yotes!

In her spare time, Chelsea still trains with figure skating and ice dancing, trains in aerial acrobatics on apparatuses, such as silks, trapeze, and hoop, and enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
