Drew was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He went to Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, and graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science in 2017. Following graduation, he attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he earned his Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree in 2021. Drew is a certified Kinesio® Taping Practitioner (CKTP) through the Kinesio Taping Association (KTA) and a certified personal trainer (CPT) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

Drew focused his doctoral clinical rotations in hand therapy under the supervision of multiple certified hand therapists (CHTs). He had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from hand surgeons at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He then relocated to Glendale, Arizona, to complete his doctoral capstone with a CHT, after which, he attained a position in the field of his passion as a hand therapist. Drew has considerable experience treating crush, tendon/ligament, and peripheral nerve injuries as well as fractures, tendinopathies, infections, burns, amputations, and neurological conditions. Drew takes pride in fabricating orthoses to restore function to the upper extremity and to the person holistically.

Drew’s extensive background in exercise science provides him with a strong foundation to create meaningful and individualized occupation-based interventions for his patients to regain their independence. He believes in treating others by the quote from Virginia Stoffel, “Occupational therapy practitioners ask, ‘What matters to you?’ not, ‘What’s the matter with you?’”

In his spare time, Drew enjoys strength training and playing basketball. He also spends time caring for and relaxing with his two cats, Mimi and Lulu.
