Melissa Teng, M.O.T., O.T.R./L.

Melissa was raised in Taiwan and moved to the United States when she was 12. She is a certified occupational therapist who joined OrthoArizona in June 2022. She earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Arizona State University and her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Midwestern University in 2021.

Melissa specializes in upper extremity rehabilitation and wants to help others regain strength and functionality in their hands and arms. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and is currently working toward becoming a certified hand therapist (CHT). She believes building trusting relationships with her patients and clinical teams is the way to enhance the overall experience and outcome for her clients.

Experiencing diversity and different cultures growing up allowed Melissa to be adaptable, sympathetic and compassionate. She is trilingual and she speaks: English, Mandarin Chinese, and Hokkien. In her spare time, she loves to travel, explore new coffee shops, and watch movies. She also enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her cat Toffee.
