John Tefteller, D.O.

Dr. John Tefteller specializes in sports medicine and nonoperative care of musculoskeletal injury, concussion management, and injury prevention. His expertise also includes diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound, viscosupplementation, orthobiologics, and the Tenex procedure.

Dr. Tefteller is committed to offering patients personalized care, and he fittingly takes a team approach when it comes to empowering patients to achieve optimal health and wellness.

He attended Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in the top 25% of his class and earned a Silver TOUCH award for distinction in service. Dr. Tefteller then completed his residency in family medicine at Abrazo Central Campus and was honored by his peers with the Practice Management Award.

He later completed a fellowship at the distinguished San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center. While there, he served as a team physician for San Diego State University, St. Augustine High School, and the U.S. Olympic Training Center (Chula Vista, California), and he also served as the medical director for the San Diego hydroplane professional boat races and was on the medical staff for the three-day breast cancer walk and California State games. 

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Tefteller enjoys playing any and all sports and spending quality time with his family.
