Athletic Performance

OrthoArizona Performance is an elite level Sports Performance facility with three locations throughout the Valley. Our highly experienced Strength & Conditioning Coaches specialize in “Rebuilding Champions” of all sports and skill levels. We create highly customized programs specific to your goals and objectives to maximize your performance outcomes.

The mission of our OrthoArizona Therapy Team, just like the Physicians we work with, is to provide comprehensive orthopedic care of the highest quality with exceptional compassion.

Orthoarizona has a team of nearly 80 therapists, located at 18 therapy clinics throughout the greater Phoenix Valley area.  Our therapists work closely with OrthoArizona Physicians to help all patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Our therapy team consists of Licensed Physical Therapists, Physical therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, and Certified Hand Therapists.  We have a team of diverse therapists who all have a willingness to continue professional growth, who can communicate well with both Physicians and patients, and who pride themselves on evidence-based practice.

Whether recovering from a recent surgery, rehabilitating a sports injury, or recovering from a work-related injury, the OrthoArizona Therapy team guides patients through the entire recovery process with thorough patient education, a hands-on approach, patient centered treatment plans, and care that provides lasting functional benefits.  Our goal is to provide extensive therapeutic care to ensure that all patients can live without limits.

Foot & Ankle

The OrthoArizona Foot and Ankle Institute features a team of fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists. Our program, one of the largest foot and ankle practices in the country, is dedicated to providing the best possible care for patients by developing protocols and quality standards that improve foot and ankle care outcomes.

The patient is the most important piece of our program. Having a foot or ankle injury, disability or deformity is stressful, and we strive to communicate to our patients how much we want them to get better. Patients are educated on their diagnosis and treatment options so they can make decisions together with their provider.

Fracture/Trauma Care

OrthoArizona’s team of orthopedic specialists treats a multitude of fractures, including those that occur from:

  • Trauma caused by incidents like falling, accidents or sports-related injuries
  • Medical conditions like Osteoporosis, which weakens bones and makes them more likely to break
  • Overuse from a repetitive motion, resulting in stress fractures

Our team will conduct a thorough evaluation of your injury and develop a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan to help speed your recovery to the greatest extent possible.

General Orthopedics

Our orthopedic surgeons and specialists treat patients of all ages for musculoskeletal conditions ranging from bone and joint disorders and fractures to disorders or tears of the muscles, ligaments and tendons.

Our physicians treat many conditions without surgery with medications, exercise and other rehabilitative or alternative therapies. If necessary, we may also recommend surgical treatment for conditions that do not respond to other treatments.

Hand, Wrist & Elbow

OrthoArizona has twelve fellowship trained doctors that specialize in disorders of the hand, wrist and elbow. Our hand and wrist surgeons are conveniently located throughout the Phoenix metro area to provide quality care in your neighborhood.

The patient is the most important piece of our practice. Having a hand, wrist or elbow injury, disability or deformity is stressful. We strive to communicate to our patients how much we want them to get better and work to find the best course of care for their injury or disorder. Patients are educated on their diagnosis and treatment options so they can make an informed decision with the guidance of their provider.

Orthobiologics

Promote the healing of bones, ligaments, muscles, and tendons with treatment from our specialists. Orthobiologics are natural substances that can be used to treat orthopedic conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis, ligament tears, and bone fractures.

These treatments are used in varying ways such as:

  • Surgery: Orthobiologics can be used during surgery by extracting from the patient’s bone marrow or blood and applying during surgery filling in bone defects supporting healing after surgery.
  • Injections: Orthobiologics can also be directly injected into an effected area during a minimally invasive procedure that can easily be done in a clinic or doctor’s office.

Physical & Hand Therapy

The mission of the Sports Performance Team at OrthoArizona is to maximize athletic performance while minimizing the risk of injury.  Every coach on OrthoArizona’s Sports Performance team is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  This ensures that all athletes are working with a highly skilled and knowledgeable staff.  The OrthoArizona Sports Performance department works closely with both individual athletes and entire teams who want to maximize their physical capabilities, see objective progress, and achieve their sport related goals.  Often, athletes have transitioned from formal Physical Therapy to the Sports Performance Team, but the latter is not always the case.   If you are an athlete or a member of a sports team and want to take your athleticism to the next level, contact our Sports Performance department

OrthoArizona’s Sports Performance works with athletes from a variety of sports to include but not limited to soccer, baseball, volleyball, basketball, hockey, football, and dance.  Contact us today to achieve your desired goals.
