He would eventually like to achieve his orthopedic clinical specialist certification and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Doug was born and raised in New York. He has always enjoyed the sciences, medical, and health fields. He first received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Siena College in Loudonville, New York, where he first was on a medical school path. He then changed course to attend graduate school at Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in allied health science and a Master of Science degree in physical therapy. He began his career at Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU, where he worked through various departments including inpatient and outpatient, cardiopulmonary, and general rehabilitation departments.
Doug then traveled cross-country with his two younger brothers for two months, exploring this beautiful country and many of its breathtaking national parks. He returned to upstate New York where he got married to his wife Patricia and had two children, daughter Kayla and son Daniel. At the same time, he began a PT practice with his physical therapist brother in 2002. They grew to three locations, serving several orthopedic and many medical practices in upstate New York. This is where he truly developed both his clinical and entrepreneurial skills over 15 years. He enjoyed treating local college and high school sports injuries, orthopedic, pre- and postoperative care, work injuries, and various geriatric and neurological ailments.
In 2015, Doug and his brother sold their practice to one of their employees, and Doug followed a dream of his to move to Arizona. He moved his wife and two children to the West Valley, where they settled in the Estrella Mountain Ranch community of Goodyear, Arizona. Here, he enjoys being involved in the community youth sports programs and coaching both his and other children in soccer, baseball, basketball, and flag football. He also enjoys traveling with his family and friends to Mexico and various surrounding areas of Phoenix, watching live music, camping, and spending time at the lake wave running or riding the family ATV.
