Lisa Hall is a veteran PT.  She knew she wanted to become a physical therapist in high school and never wavered.  She did her undergraduate work while attending Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, Nebraska on a basketball scholarship.  She then transferred to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to continue her academic pursuits until accepted to the physical therapy program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  Upon graduating from the PT program in 1987, she returned to her home state of Nebraska to work with Good Samaritan Regional Hospital for a year before making her way to Arizona.  Her first position in The Valley of The Sun was in the acute care hospital setting for a year, following which she got her start in outpatient orthopedics, which has been the focus of her professional career since.  She has over 25 years of clinical experience treating injured workers who, she believes, are our “true athletes”.  Her focus was, and continues to be, not only on treatment, but on individual problem solving and on educating patients in safe “work” behaviors and body mechanics in order to prevent future injury and/or to reduce the progression of a patient’s condition.  She is a bit of a character and wants you to know that she will find your “funny bone” while under her care as she has found laughter to be “good medicine” over the years.  Her other work experiences include school-based pediatrics and geriatric-focused care in Senior Community and Home Health settings.  She is very patient-focused and dedicated to quality of care.  She has been with OAZ since January 2020 and is enjoying the application of her clinical skills and experience toward helping our patients recover and enjoy their optimal quality of life.  She spends her free time up in the White Mountains or reuniting with family and friends in Nebraska.  She enjoys cooking (this is her “therapy”), gardening, ATV adventures, and fishing.
