About Dr. Hansen
Dr. Matthew Hansen specializes in orthopedic sports medicine, advanced shoulder and elbow surgery, knee ligament reconstruction, hip arthroscopy, and cartilage restoration. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine. Dr. Hansen was then selected to the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery (orthopedic surgery residency) in New York City and interned at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. He further completed fellowship training at the distinguished Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. While there, Dr. Hansen worked in conjunction with team surgeons providing care for the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Angels of Anaheim. He also worked with the Los Angeles Kings, the Los Angeles Sparks, the Los Angeles Galaxy, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, and the University of Southern California football.
